Get CutEngine

Set up in about ten minutes.

CutEngine runs on your computer, so your footage never has to upload. The one-click desktop app is on the way; for now setup is a few Terminal commands.

01 — INSTALL

Python 3.10+ and FFmpeg

Mac: install Python from python.org and FFmpeg with Homebrew (brew install ffmpeg). Windows: Python from python.org and winget install Gyan.FFmpeg.

02 — DOWNLOAD

The CutEngine engine

Download cutengine.zip

Unzip it, open Terminal in that folder, then run the commands below.

03 — CONNECT

Sign in from your computer

Copy your config.json from your account page, then sign in with the same email and password.

Then import first_cut.xml into Premiere Pro (File › Import) or DaVinci Resolve (File › Import › Timeline).
